We had planned for an indoor playground party, but as they were fully booked for a long time, and due to my husband's work schedule, we couldn't commit in booking very far in advance, we went with a different plan. We decided to rent the party room at the bowling alley, and let the kids bowl and enjoy the cakes. It worked out very well, and the kids were so excited when the day finally was there to have the party.
We had invited the whole class, with 20 kids in the class, it's not alright to just select a few, especially as you don't have all the kids' parent's information and can't invite them over a normal email or phone call. So to make it easy for everyone, and to let all their friends feel invited and special, I sent out invitation through their school folders to everyone. BUT, not everyone replied, and with a few friends that are not from their school, we expected about 12 kids.
Ready to party - waiting for their guests to arrive!
Just as we were ready with the decorations, the first friends started to arrive. We let the kids start to get shoes and bowl as soon as they arrived, as they all were eager to get started.
Cassie was a great helper as always!
Ohhh, nearly got 'em all!
Concentration!!
Kids waiting with anticipation for the cakes!
We were a bit rushed getting the cakes and ice cream into the room, so I only got these two quick shots of them. I wish I would have gotten nice pictures with Benjamin and Isabella next to their cakes, but npe, this was all I got.
Isabella's cake. I changed the icing colors to pink instead of blue.
Benjamin's cake also modified to make if perfect!
First time they get to see the cakes!
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Benjamin...
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Isabella...
Black icing maybe wasn't the best choice...
