After Practice Treats

Sometimes the games were late and not done until after 8pm on a school night. That meant that we wouldn't be home until close to 9pm, which would be way too late for getting the kids showered and in bed and it would be past their bedtime. Those times, Chris always tried to coordinate his work that he could be on Camp Foster in the evening, same base as her High School is on, and then pick her up after the game. Sometimes he had time to watch, sometimes he was in meetings.

Still, those times, I was always bummed that I couldn't make it to her games, but it cheered me up to get these kind of pictures after the game from her smiling.

And yes- someone needs to work on his selfie skills...:)

Golf Banquet In October

Missing my hubby and can't wait for him to soon be back home after 5 months away. Going through pictures, I realized that I never posted the pictures from the Golf Banquet that we went to in October. I know, lots and lots of pictures that should have been posted when it happened.

Chris had been playing in this tournament with his buddy Dough, and they both did very well for themselves. On the third day's tournament, there was a banquet held at night with dinner and where the prizes were given out. It wasn't a formal event by all means, but as we hardly ever go out, I thought it would be nice to put on a dress for once!

Before dinner buffet, we went by the prize table so that the guys could have a look around on what they could win. Some prizes were just raffle drawings, and some were earned with all kind of things throughout the tournament. The longest shot, the fastest round etc.

Brandee and Dough

Chris won 2nd Place and his very first platter!

He also won a $200 gift card to use in MCCS stores or on restaurants. Then I belive 20 rounds of golf for free..Dough was lucky to win one of the raffle prizes with an overnight stay at one of the nicer Resort Hotels here on Okinawa.

It was a fun evening, and even if the theme of the evening was golf, it was still fun to spend it together. The tickets that he won we have been able to use and he will have to go and play some golf when he comes back from South Korea, as they only are valid for 6 months. I'm sure he won't mind...
