I did prepare for this yesterday and ended up spending hours outside, scrubbing and getting everything out of the screened in patio and sprayed off. I've said it before, the fine poured sand that covers everything after a couple of windy days are not fun. Like a thick layer of pollen. It's been almost two weeks since we had really bad wind and stormy weather, but since the kids were sick and the temperatures went down to the 70's last week, it was no point of getting everything cleaned up.
Now, it was ready to go, and the kids were happy to get started. One could tell right away that it was getting hotter than usual, and no wonder, when I checked, we had crossed the 100's and actually reached 102F/38,9C today.
Even if the kids were playing for a long while, it was a lot to do inside since I hadn't been home this morning, and dishes and laundry doesn't do themselves unfortunately. As Chris is working nights now, and sleeps during the day, it's next to impossible to get the chores inside done as everything would wake him up. But, I did find some time here and there to join the kids outside, and I even put on my bikini for the first time I think this year! That's actually pretty late, as I know that I've started the bikini season much earlier the last couple of years, but, I guess I just haven't really been that motivated before. The sun does feel good, but as I know now better than ever with the experience of living here in HOT Arizona, there is going to be enough days to sun tan anyway! No need to hurry!!
We had some snack with Cassie while she started her homework outside, and later this afternoon, we actually had a very nice event to go to, but more about that later, when I have downloaded the pictures from the camera.
