Last Night In Arizona

It has been a very stressful week, very draining both physically and emotionally. I'm way to tired to start downloading pictures from our last week here in Yuma, but I figured that I'd try to sum it up some here anyway.

- The rest of (most of) our belongings have been put into storage.

- The house has been cleaned from top to bottom on Thursday and on Friday we had the carpets cleaned.

- The twins had their good bye party in school with yummy cupcakes.

- Cassandra has had her last week in school and has been spending as much time as possible with her friends.

- We have been packing, organizing, been running errands.

-Yesterday we finished up in the house, and today we had the walk through with the owners that we have been renting from, and it felt so good to have that over with, turned the keys back and know that we left the house in better shape than what we moved into.

- This afternoon, I met one of my dear friends here in town, and it was wonderful to find some time to meet.

- Later this afternoon, Cassie had her very much dreaded goodbye's from her friends. I took them out for ice cream, and afterward it was really rough. Heartbreaking to say the least! Gosh, so many tears and so many raw emotions. I cried a river for her myself...I know too well how hard it is to leave your friends behind..

- Tonight we have finished up packing our suitcases here at our friend's house, and tomorrow morning, we still have a few errands to run, and around noon, we will start our trip by heading to San Diego.

Let the adventure begin!! I will try to post here and there from the trip, but it all depends on how well I got internet and time. Still, it feels very strange to think that we will already be in Okinawa on Friday, and next weekend instead of packing madness, we will finally be able to relax a bit!! Can't wait!!

Go Carts With Friends

I forgot to add the pictures when the kids were going on the go carts when Cassie had her party at the Fun Factory. This was a fun thing to do for all, and my little ones had looked forward to this very much aswell. Cassie had already promised to take Isabella with her and I had thought that we could go several times, but there were a lot of people there on this Friday night, so I couldn't go with Ben as I wanted to get some pictures. But, one of Cassie's friends offered to ride with him, and he was happy!  Fun times for all!

So no need to add much about this, here are the pictures:

Goodbye Party For My Soon To Be Teenager

I'm too tired to start writing something about the move and everything that's been going on the last couple of days, so I rather finish this post from last Friday that I already had gotten the pictures downloaded for, when Cassie had her combined early birthday and goodbye party. As turning 13 is a pretty big birthday, she would have had none of her friends there to celebrate with in a month when her actual birthday is, so we made it this way instead. To be new in Okinawa, just barely starting a new school in the end of March, she most likely would only have had us in the family to celebrate with.

She had her party at the local Fun Factory, and most of her friends could make it. Some had other plans and leaving town for this Friday, as it was a long weekend. As Chris was on his way to Texas then, I had to bring the little kids along for the party, and they were very happy to be part of it! They played some in the arcade, had pizza, went on the go carts, had birthday cake and played mini golf. A party that was so much fun, that the kids played much longer than booked and we were there two extra hours before we finally were able to go home. Still, so well worth it, and the kids had a great time, and I'm so happy that Cassie was able to celebrate with her friends this way. There were some tears, but mostly laughter and giggles, I'm sure that there are many more tears to follow here soon though..But before we get to those, here are the pictures from the party!

The photo booth was broken, and Cassie was disappointed that they couldn't get any pictures, but I said that I'll take some instead, so all the kids got in the booth!

Cassie had her friends sign one of her volleyballs that she can save as a keepsake.

My beautiful (almost) 13 year old!

Pizza time!

My (soon to be) teenager!!

I'm so happy that Cassie has been able to have a lot of time together with her friends lately. Even if it's so very hard to say goodbye, she will have plenty of good memories and pictures to take with her!
