Ben - the builder!

Concentration is high - here he managed to build 3 blocks high.

The next try he managed to build a 4 block tower!

Another try with 5 blocks high fell down....and he said oh -oh!!

Soon he will be able to compete with this guy!

Last story time for the summer

On Thursday, we went to the library again. It was the last story time for this summer. They had extra many puppet shows, which was very much appreciated by the kids. Isabella was totally in to the stories and watched the puppet show, Ben did good for a little while, but was more interested in everything around him and wanted to check things out. As he got a little bit too loud, I had to take him to the back of the room so he wouldn't disturb the stories. Isabella did good with Cassie, and crawled up to the front row so she wouldn't miss a thing!

Cassie also turned in her Reading Passport, that she has read 10 books and she got a little diploma and a box. We were a little bit surprised that the box was empty, we both thought that there would be crayons or something in it! She has read more than 10 books over the summer, but 10 was all that was counted.

Best friends

Cassandra & Gracie

Cassie and Gracie had such a good time together. The played in the pool, went on the slides, and we all walked over too the big pool where they could jump off the boards. No pictures there as I had to carry the twins with me.. The girls giggled and laughed, whispered and exchanged understanding looks - just like girlfriends do!! It was so fun to watch them!

I'm so happy that Gracie could come along, and I hope that they can have more time together this summer. She's such a sweet girl and such a well behaved and polite girl that is a joy to have around. Very much like Cassie!! They have movie dates every week, and I promised Cassie that she also could ask Gracie for a sleepover before the summer is over. I'm sure that will be fun.

Cool temperatures = Pool temperatures!

Yesterday it finally was a day that were supposed to be a little bit cooler outside. We had planned for this and looked forward toward this day all week. Cassie had invited her friend Gracie to come with us, and after lunch we packed everyone into the car and went.

When we arrived the people at the door told me that we might get rain and thunder and that they in that case would close the pool down. It was very cloudy and getting dark on the sky, but we said that we'd take a chance and hope for the weather to stay good. We were lucky, it was overcast and a little dark at times, but no rain and most of all no thunder! The kids had a great time, and Cassie enjoyed her friends company!

Colors...

Sitting here with the color chart in front of me and have to make an decision. At least have a favorite one so that we can try to agree on which one to go with this weekend. We have to go forward with the process of buying the car, and there are so many choices, combinations and little nicknacks that one have to decide on. They are all nice - it's not an easy decisions!
