The same day as we went to the Aquarium, we decided to pass by the Nago Pineapple Park on the way home. We had a good time when we were there, and it's a perfect stop for a shorter day activity and as we were already up north, it was the perfect stop to combine with the Aquarium.
The obligatory family group picture on the stairs with the date!
You have to park a bit away, but there are free shuttle buses that takes you up to the entrance. Of course the shuttle buses looks like this!
Ben loved the shuttle bus!
When you come inside, you start with going on a little tour through the park, to see the plantations of pineapple growing outside. It's also very beautiful surroundings, like driving through a very nice park, so the ride is very enjoyable. It's not really driving, the Japanese keep telling you to keep the hands off, as it drives on it's own on little train tracks. Still, the kids love it!!
The little kids took turns "driving" and here Ben is patiently waiting for his turn!

Pineapple fields!!
Through out the park, they have two different photo stops, where they give you warnings ahead on how many meters left for you to look into the camera and then get the chance to purchase the picture afterward.
This was the picture half way through the park!
This is the picture when the car is about to stop in the end. Cassandra and Sina went on their own little car, so they were not able to be in the picture. Such a shame as everyone actually looked into the camera here!
After the ride, you walk inside the world of pineapple! There is cakes, cookies, chocolate, candy, juices and wine to try and to purchase. Everything of course made with pineapple!
Ben trying out a pineapple juice!
Pineapple liqueur
The non drivers were able to try some wine!
Enjoying the fresh juice!
Normal pineapple
The pineapples on the picture above, are the typical Okinawan pineapples. The ones that one can peel with the fingers and pull out every little piece and bite off. The ones that you each piece by piece. They taste the same, maybe even a little sweeter.
Hand peeling pineapple on the right, normal pineapple on the right.
These two were brave enough to try out all kind of different things!
Some of us were looking into the gift shop on the way out.
